City Adventures

In City Adventures  we enjoy the proximity to the town of Akureyri, where we will have different kind of program activities and everybody should be able to find something of interest. On the walk to the town you can participate in a fun game, where you have to solve all kind of puzzles and task and you will have the opportunity to take a refreshing trip to the swimming pool and take a trip down the waterslide.

Whip up some hot chocolate and pancakes and share them with the townspeople. You can borrow a guitar to make it even more fun.

What could be better than a picnic in the Botanical Garden of Akureyri? A picnic and a photography course! Here you will learn some tips and tricks for taking photos on your phone or camera. Who will get the best shot, and can your group solve the photography challenges?

It’s always a good idea clean yourselves up and go swimming. Akureyri has a fabulous public swimming pool where you can also find fun water slides and comfortable hot tubs.

Even though Akureyri always has good weather the sea can be a bit cold. This activity is only for the bravest among you – and polar bears!

This activity is ideal for those who are eager to learn. The Akureyri Museum and Nonni’s House have interesting exhibitions and they are also in walking distance from the Toy Museum, where you can take a look at old Icelandic toys.

It is always a good idea to brighten another person’s day. Here you will visit a retirement home called Hlíð – you might even be treated to some waffles or ice cream.

We care about the environment and want to make the world a better place. During this activity your group can contribute and clean the Akureyri shoreline. Who will find the most bizarre piece of trash?

Grab a water gun and compete with other groups. Bring a towel and some extra clothes – don’t expect to stay dry!
